About Our Firm

In 2005, Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty was created in Washington, North Carolina by Gerri McKinley and Maria Wilson, along with a chosen group of experienced agents. The sole focus was to adhere to their core principals which were: Knowledge, Experience, and Professionalism.  Focusing on those values allowed the firm to become the top selling real estate company in Beaufort County in less than four years.

Gerri and Maria decided to apply the successful business model of Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty to the ever-expanding Greenville/Pitt County, North Carolina market by adding a second office in 2007. Greenville is home to East Carolina University and Pitt Memorial Hospital, which is one of North Carolina's largest regional and teaching hospitals. Greenville has consistently been one of North Carolina's fastest growing cities with its focus on smart growth, corporate innovation, and development.

For those of you who might not be aware of the Coldwell Banker brand, it is the number one real estate franchise in the world and in most markets is at or near the top in market performance each year. We at Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty believe through joining this successful franchise and utilizing its established and proven tools, we are better equipped to serve our clients. As a company, we greatly value the client/broker relationship and try to treat each client as if they were a part of our own family. That focus allows us to make the buying or selling of real estate process as pain-free as possible and enables our clients to reach their real estate goals.

Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906 when Colbert Coldwell, a young real estate Sales Associate, observed families trying to piece their lives together following the disastrous San Francisco earthquake. Disapproving of Sales Associates who acquired property from vulnerable sellers and then resold it at huge profits, and seeing a need for honest, knowledgeable real estate professionals, he formed his own company. The new company was based on a revolutionary philosophy: the client's best interest above all.

In 1914, Benjamin Arthur Banker, another real estate professional, joined Colbert Coldwell as a full partner. Together, Coldwell and Banker forged a tradition of integrity, exceptional service and customer satisfaction that became the company's hallmark. The company was far ahead of its time in its focus on customer service. As Coldwell Banker enters its second century in real estate, it offers clients a level of service and resources of which Mr. Coldwell and Mr. Banker would be proud.
