Welcome to my hometown, Washington. My name is Geraldine Bennett-McKinley but most people call me "Gerri". As a Beaufort native, I have always enjoyed working with the public. For many years, I worked with the local schools as a substitute teacher. I retired from H & R Block as a tax consultant after twenty four years and now I am able to concentrate on my Real Estate career and look forward to helping both new and former clients.
I am a North Carolina licenced Realtor and obtained my Broker’s licence in 2000. Because I feel that a Realtor should be knowledgeable in all aspects of Real Estate, I enrolled in special classes where I obtained my Certified Buyers Representative (CBR) designation, the Graduate of Realtors Institute designation (GRI) and most recently, the Certified Residential Specialist designation (CRS).
I have been fortunate to receive "Rookie of the Year" in 1998 from the Washington-Beaufort County Board of Realtors and have been a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club from 1999-2004. In 2005, I received recognition for being a member of the Ten Million Dollar Sales Club.
During the time I was working at the local Century 21 office, I was the top listing agent and top producer. I was honored to receive the Master Diamond Sales Award for 2002 and the Centurion Award in 2003 and 2004 where Century 21 recognizes their top producers at their national convention.

Janice was born in Bertie County, by spent most of her life in Martin County, until moving to Pitt County in 2003. She has a love for people and is very civic minded. She has served as a Cub Scout leader; served on the Martin County Red Cross Board, the Martin County Arts Council Board as well as the Martin County Domestic Violence Board. Janice also served as the treasurer for the Martin County Heart Association for several years. In addition, she has been a Sunday school teacher and youth leader in the church, and has participated in and supports the public school system.

A little information about me...I moved to North Carolina in 1999 with my family. Shortly after arriving we discovered Washington while riding around one day and the rest I guess you can say is history being made. We fell in love with the water, the quaintness of the town and very soon the warm folks that live here.
I am the proud mother of two wonderful children. I have a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. Our family is very active in the community and we love outdoor activities and sports of all kind. Being the true southern girl that I am as I was born and raised in Mississippi, hospitality, strong ethics and the desire to do the best job that I can has led me in my adult years to have a real heart of service to others.
I have served as PTA President and on the PTA Boards of both of my children's schools for many years. Six years ago I organized a volunteer reading program through our church to help children in school who are behind in reading to receive one on one tutoring. I am also a Certified Housing Counselor and I work with a nonprofit that allows qualified residents to receive down payment assistance on their first home. As a counselor, I also offer ways to improve credit scores as well as credit repair.
In college I became hooked on Real Estate after taking 4 classes in this field. It was a given that one day I would get my Brokers license so that I could work in the industry that I love!

That is why I organized a team for Relay for Life and served as Team Captain in 2003 and continue to raise money for this worthy cause. Thru our local board I have participated annually in the Toys for Tots drive and helped collect food for the local soup kitchen. As President of the Washington-Beaufort County Board of Realtors in 2004, I chose Children's Miracle Network as the recipient of the Board's charitable contributions. We started by making small donations of $100 and by answering the telephones duringthe telethon. Each year we were able to raise more money, and in 2007, with the help of my co-chairperson, we broke our record by attaining $3200 in donations. Due to the slow economy, the Washington-Beaufort Board of Realtors suspended their involvement with Childrens Miracle Network in 2009. I implemented the project at Coldwell Banker Coastal Rivers Realty, where the agents of the Washington and Greenville offiices raised $1650. I look forward to exceeding that in 2010.

From 2000 to 2005, Craig was a Senior Project Manager with the NCDOT Rail Division, and oversaw $80 million in improvements to new and historic passenger train stations throughout North Carolina. This work on historic buildings inspired Craig to pursue business opportunities in re-developing historic properties. Craig continues to provide consulting services to NCDOT.
Craig has managed the planning, design, and construction of projects involving single and multi-family residential, shopping centers, sports stadiums, health care facilities, prisons, thoroughfares, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure, manufacturing and distribution facilities, conference and exhibition centers, office complexes, and more
